Redevelopment of the Auckland waterfront
Advised Waterfront Auckland (Auckland Waterfront Development Agency Limited), a council-controlled organisation of Auckland Council, on the redevelopment of Auckland's waterfront. The project involves the redevelopment of over 45 hectares of Auckland prime waterfront area, including Queens Wharf.
"The Base" development by Tainui Group Holdings
Bell Gully advises Tainui Group on the development of Hamilton's largest retail outlet "The Base", constructed on a former air force base. This is a significant greenfields development. Our work involves construction contracts and leasing arrangements for the development.
Auckland Transport
Bell Gully advises Auckland Transport in the development and procurement of Auckland region-wide land transport infrastructure, including the development of an integrated ticketing system and real-time passenger information system.
Britomart Precinct development
Bell Gully acts for Cooper and Company, the developer of Auckland's Britomart Precinct. This highly complex development is the largest historic restoration project to be undertaken in New Zealand and involves both the restoration of existing historic buildings and the development of new buildings on Auckland's waterfront. Our work involves all aspects of this major development including development agreements, leasing, construction contracts and project finance. We also liaise closely with Auckland Council which plays a central role in the project.
Downer EDI Works
Bell Gully has acted for Downer EDI Works in relation to its recent Australasian sale and lease back projects.
Carter Holt Harvey Limited forest sales
Bell Gully has acted for Carter Holt Harvey on the sale of around 280,000 ha of forest holdings over the last seven years. These transactions have included sales to Hancock Forest Management and Global Forest Partners.
DEXUS
Bell Gully has acted for DEXUS on the sale of Westpac House and ANZ Tower in Wellington and the AXA Centre in Auckland.
Bank of New Zealand
Bell Gully has acted for BNZ in relation to its new offices in Auckland and Wellington including negotiating development agreements and advising on resource management matters.
Novotel Hotel, Auckland International Airport
Bell Gully acted for Tainui in relation to the development of the new Auckland International Airport hotel. Bell Gully advised on joint venture and leasing arrangements, financing and construction contracts.
Manukau Institute of Technology
Bell Gully is acting for the Manukau Institute of Technology in relation to its proposed development of land at Manukau City for a new tertiary precinct. Bell Gully was closely involved in the negotiation of the ground lease with (now) Auckland Council and more recently the agreements with the various design consultants and Auckland Transport in relation to the interface of the campus buildings with the new Manukau railway station.
Rotokawa Joint Venture
Bell Gully has acted for the Rotokawa Joint Venture on its geothermal energy generation plant at Rotokawa. This has involved all aspects of the project including joint venture arrangements and project financing.
