Dean is a transactions and projects lawyer with a broad range of experience.

His expertise and experience covers a wide range of areas, from mergers and acquisitions, public offers, stock exchange listings, company and securities law, private equity and venture capital; to outsourcing, technology contracts, infrastructure and commercialisation of intellectual property.

Dean has a particular interest in the ICT, telecommunications and biotechnology sectors.

Chambers Global 2009, based on feedback from clients and other lawyers, describes Dean as having wide experience with an approach that is "pragmatic and methodical", and his peers are quoted as saying "clients love him and he is very well respected".
