Sophie is a commercial litigator working with clients to resolve complex domestic and international disputes.

She advises clients involved in a variety of commercial litigation and arbitration, including contractual disputes, disputes involving issues of company and securities law, public and administrative law issues, and construction disputes.

Sophie has extensive international arbitration experience advising a wide range of clients including international organisations, military and defence contractors, and sovereign states. She is also experienced in advising clients involved in US federal and state litigation.

Sophie joined Bell Gully in 2009 after four years as an associate in the New York office of White & Case LLP.

She began her career at another New Zealand law firm before moving to the US to complete her Master of Laws at Harvard Law School and to work in New York City.
