A global guide to competition enforcement, including a New Zealand chapter by Bell Gully competition partners, has been launched at an event in the United States.
The Handbook of Competition Enforcement Agencies 2009, produced by publisher Global Competition Review, has been launched at the American Bar Association's Antitrust Spring meeting in Washington DC.
The publication provides an outline of competition enforcement agencies and legal frameworks across global jurisdictions. Bell Gully competition practice leader Phil Taylor and competition partner Torrin Crowther were again invited to author the New Zealand chapter.
In it they outline New Zealand's competition laws and the Commerce Commission's role as the statutory body responsible for administering the competition legislation.
