Former PM to launch Bell Gully Women Leaders' series
Former Prime Minister the Rt Hon Dame Jenny Shipley will this week launch a Bell Gully initiative aimed at encouraging women into leadership.
The Women Leaders' series is part of a new Women at Bell Gully programme focused on the development, success and retention of women at all levels within the firm.
Bell Gully partner Jenny Cooper, who leads the programme, says the firm is delighted that the Rt Hon Dame Jenny Shipley accepted the invitation to speak at the inaugural event in Auckland on Thursday.
The former Prime Minister today holds a range of director and advisor roles across business, economic and social development arenas in New Zealand, China and further afield. Just this week she was appointed chairman of Genesis Energy, New Zealand's third largest energy company.
Dame Jenny will speak on leadership and career building, sharing her personal story at the event to be attended by women clients of Bell Gully and the firm's women partners and staff.
Jenny Cooper says a similar event featuring another prominent and inspiring New Zealand women leader will be held in Wellington shortly.
