Business leader to launch Bell Gully Women Leaders' series in the capital
One of New Zealand's pre-eminent business leaders will speak next week at the Wellington launch of a Bell Gully initiative to encourage women into leadership.
Rosanne Meo was among the first professional women company directors in New Zealand and the first woman to chair a State Owned Enterprise and a company listed on the NZSX. As well as extensive directorships, she also shares her expertise and leadership with arts and community organisations.
At the Wellington launch of Bell Gully's Women Leaders' series, she will share insights into the latest research about women in senior management and on boards and discuss why more hasn't been achieved in New Zealand, despite the country's impressive record of women in high profile public office, and what as individuals we can do about it.
The event is part of a new Women at Bell Gully programme focused on the development, success and retention of women at all levels within the firm.
At the Auckland launch of the Women Leaders' series in October, former Prime Minister the Rt Hon Dame Jenny Shipley, who now holds a range of director and adviser roles in business and other fields, shared her inspiring story of a diverse career and insights into successful leadership.
