A top international guide has confirmed Bell Gully has retained a prestigious 'elite' ranking in its list of the world's leading competition law practices.
Global Competition Review's GCR 100 has recognised Bell Gully as having an 'elite' competition practice for the past seven years, awarding the team led by Bell Gully partners Torrin Crowther and Phil Taylor its highest ranking in New Zealand.
The GCR 100 stated that "Taylor wins almost universal praise from rivals" and noted the team played an active role in some of New Zealand's biggest competition cases in recent times.
The guide highlighted Bell Gully's role advising Cavalier Wool Holdings on its merger with Wool Services International. The GCR 100 also noted the team's work for Air New Zealand on its trans-Tasman alliance with Virgin Australia.
"Our ranking reflects the challenging and exciting competition work that our clients trust us with," said Torrin Crowther, co-head of the competition practice.
Both Phil Taylor and Torrin Crowther are named in the International Who's Who of Competition Lawyers and Economists, a respected specialist publication which is also produced by the publisher of the Global Competition Review.
